The Parliamentary Bookshop is open to the public, with direct access from the main façade of São Bento Palace.
The works and pieces issued by the Publications Division of the Assembleia da República are available for sale at the Parliamentary Bookshop, which also offers a selection of publications from other publishers, in the fields of politics, history, economics and fiction, with the possibility of benefiting from the advantages of a customer card.
It is also possible to order books that are not found on the Bookshop's displays.
Catalogues of publications and pieces
The Assembleia da República issues works relating to its fundamental texts, its heritage, its history and that of its main protagonists, as well as publications on parliamentary activity and on the Parliament's competences and organisation.
The publications catalogue includes, among others, publications of the Parliament Collection, the Parliamentary Interventions Collection, the Constitution and parliamentary legislation, parliamentary colloquia and conferences, exhibition catalogues and children and youth publications.
Electronic publications can be found in the digital library.
The Publications Division also provides a catalogue of exclusive pieces reminiscent of parliamentary heritage and history, produced in porcelain, azulejo, crystal, tin, cork, textiles, as well as merchandising items, available for sale in the Parliamentary Bookshop.
Break at the Bookshop
As a way to provide everyone with a better understanding of the work carried out by the Assembleia da República, the Parliamentary Bookshop holds book presentations and talks on books during the "Break at the Bookshop".
These initiatives are publicised on the social media pages of the Assembleia da República.
The Parliamentary Bookshop is open on working days from 10.00 to 13.00 and from 14.00 to 18.00.
